Sweden ranked first in Group C by defeating Germany

Sweden beat Germany 4-1 in the 2025 European Cup, who won the Group C title in second place, who finished second.
Germany scored through Jule Brand in the 7th minute, but Sweden responded almost immediately. Five minutes later, Stina Blackstenius equalized, and Smilla Holmberg gave Sweden a lead in the 25th minute.
In the 31st minute, it was a key turning point when German defender Carlotta Wamser was sent to the game and won the Sweden fine. Fridolina Rolfo switched from the spot to extend Sweden’s lead to 3-1.
The Swedes discovered the fourth time, when Lina Hurtig dug out in 10 minutes for a convincing victory.
With the victory, Sweden ended the match in Group C, while Germany finished second despite the loss and advanced to the quarterfinals.
Sweden’s opponent waiting for the quarterfinals is one of the founding teams in the tournament and has potential matches against England.
Poland scores first in historic Denmark victory
Poland’s history of defeating Denmark 3-1 in the 2025 European Cup marks their first victory and the first goal in the history of the match.
Natalia Padilla-Bidas opened the score with a clinical end in the 13th minute, engraving her name in Polish football history. Just seven minutes later, Star Striker Ewa Pajor’s lead doubled its lead, giving Poland an early advantage.
Denmark responded in the second half, with Janni Thomsen taking advantage of the deficit in the 60th minute goalkeeper mistake. However, Poland quickly regained control as Martyna Wiankowska hit the 77th minute to block the milestone victory.
Denmark withdrew a tense performance when Signe Bruun rose to the highest, but Poland still insisted on an impressive victory despite withdrawing from the game.
The result ended Poland’s historic championship, which ranked third in Group C, behind Sweden and Germany. Meanwhile, Denmark withdrew from the match without scoring in three matches.
