Jelena Ostapenko beat the world number one Aryna Sabalenka to win Stuttgart in an amazing way.
Ostapenko failed to win the previous three games against Sabalenka, who beat the game 6-4 6-1.
The Latvians broke the tone with a serve in the opening game and kept the pressure on.
Sabalenka was broken again in the first game of the second set and then dropped two more times in a non-character wrong performance.
Ostapenko took five straight games to win by emphasizing style.
“I’m really happy today,” Ostapenko said.
She said to her opponent: “I'm glad to share the court with you, you're such a great champion.”
