I'm sure Yzerman said a little bit, to some extent, but I do think he's not used to being questioned like that. I'm sure he's not crazy about it. Larkin, he wants to win. The player wants to win. One thing that comes to my mind is that he is very patient. He, his price. I don't think Yzerman didn't try it. I just thought he looked at it and he said, I didn't do anything. When you look at the big picture (like he pays to do), you may understand what you are doing. Your player might simply say, “Where is our help? Where is our help? I think that’s exactly what Larkin does.
I don't necessarily think this is the only time some Detroit players might want to know, where the trade deadline helps. So, I'm not sure it's the first time Larkin or other Detroit players think it's like that. They might just feel that Steve's approach to patience is not suitable for them. Just like Larkin is at the peak of his career. He wants to make the playoffs.
And, so I just say that, I think it's really shocking to see that because we're just not used to seeing people like people. I remember, like another executive team heard this, like oh, Yzerman wouldn't like it. I'm sure they encountered this and I'm sure they talked about it and I'm sure they shared their opinion on it. But I think a lot of players on teams may feel the same way because we are not used to seeing Yerman being questioned like that. ”
