Smart ways to wear your next rival

Have a big game with a friend who can also make jokes? That boy, we have a skill.

In this week’s Emergency 9 episodes, Subpar co-host Drew Stoltz shares a lighthearted prank that you can do on your partner if both happen to step on the course in the game. Why? Because it will give you an advantage later in this round. And because it’s fun and golf is fun, right?

“The purpose here is to make the opponent’s bags as heavy as possible, so they reduce their physical stamina as the round progresses, thus increasing the amount of money in their pockets,” Stotz said.

This is what you do.

Either grab the ball from the shag bag at home or pick up twelve or two from the range when you arrive at the course (but be sure to return them!). Then, as you get the time, slowly start uninstalling them to the top of the playmate’s package. (You do this because they can’t see them; if they are in the pocket of a bag, they may end up noticing.)

Warning, though: you can’t put all the balls in immediately, as the weight difference can be noticeable, but gradually you can sneak under the radar.

“That’s simple,” Stolz said. “Just take some compliments (distracting them and falling onto the ball), a little hand, and suddenly, your opponent will deteriorate throughout the stretching, resulting in more money in your pocket.

“If your friends are like me, the last thing they have to do is admit that the bag is too heavy.”
