Before Mike Rizzo let go, people would have put Ethan Holliday here given the regime’s favoritism with Holliday’s agent Scott Boras and the Rizzo era’s preference for high school players. There are industry speculations that key parts of Washington’s core might make sense (James Wood, Mackenzie Gore), who are also Boras clients who don’t accept the idea of expansion, and the frustration created may make the new leadership team less willing to work with Boras who represent here without the name Eli Willits, which may make the new leadership team less willing. About an hour before the draft, I began hearing rumors that Washington was seeking a deal with Holliday, Anderson, or Wilt, regardless of who occupied the least group. This is often considered Ethan’s floor. It was thought that Colorado would have been on the college arm if it wasn’t here, and in this case Anderson was.

Many Eli Willits smoke here, although if Jojo Parker and Billy Carlson’s camps think they are deep, it’s probably a difficult target. There are enough teams like Ike that he can go from here to option 10.
