Second round: Queen Champion Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool at Wimbledon

Historic victory in the quaint surroundings of Queens Club shows how the British doubles stage maintains a rude health as Wimbledon approaches.
Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool may not be as well known as some of their peers, but they are the UK pairing this year.
Cash, 28, and Glasspool, 31, have won two ATP Tour titles in 2025, but this is winning two players living in southwest London on the family turf – the sweetest ones.
The couple, who only joined forces last year, was the first All England team to cancel the Queen’s championship in the open era.
This is another feather of national doubles master Guru Louis Cayer, who has changed the quality and depth of the discipline since joining LTA in 2007.
“We play tennis in a very good way in terms of tactics and the way we want to play. It’s a philosophy,” Glaspo told the BBC Sport.
In the title battle between Michael Venus and Nikola Metic, their mode and positioning are evident in synchronization, as well as the bold and bold abilities of the two British people at critical moments.
Successful tag team partnerships often depend on circumstances and timing.
Cash and Glasspool have known each other for a few years, but they ended up after breaking up with former full-time partners Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara, who paired up and won Wimbledon last year.
“[Ending partnerships] It’s always difficult, but you can’t forget that it’s also a business.
“You have to do the best thing for yourself – it shows that Henry and I are better off going our way.
“We all still get along well. Seeing other Brits perform well and winning the Grand Slam is definitely pushing everyone.”
