Saliba supports new Arsenal striker Gyokeres to win Premier League title

Arsenal defender William Saliba has sent a clear message to other Premier Leagues – facing Viktor Gyokeres will be a nightmare.
The Swedish striker made a €63 million transfer from the Sports Centre (Sporting CP) last week – the fee could increase to €73.5 million and rise with the additions – without wasting time with his new teammates linking on the club’s pre-season tour in Singapore.
Mikel Arteta’s team has been active in the transfer market, adding six new faces this summer as their goal is to end the four-year trophy drought.
For Saliba, Gyokeres may be the last part of his own attempt to stop him from his experience of defeating Sporting 5-1 last November.
“We know how good he is, and it’s horrible against him,” Saliba said. “Of course, I’m so happy to have him in my club and I’m sure he’ll help us win the game and win the trophy.
“[He is scary] Because when you face the forward who scores, you have to focus! But now he’s on our team and he’s going to score for us, so it’s good. ”
Arsenal supporters saw their new striker, who made his debut in red and white when Gyokeres beat Newcastle 3-2 at Singapore’s Newcastle.
His arrival made the team more optimistic as he prepared for another championship.
Saibaliba added: “It’s different every year. We have to learn from the past three seasons. Of course, we’re lucky to have a chance to play in the Premier League again to win.”
“Our mindset is to win the Premier League and we will give everything in the first game. We have a lot of new players who want to help us win this league.”
Gyokeres are expected to start full training in the coming days from Singapore to Hong Kong, where a showdown with rival Tottenham Hotspur will end their pre-season tour in Asia.
Despite speculations linking Saliba to Real Madrid, the French international quickly attracted attention for his future.
Negotiations on postponement are underway, and Arsenal is confident that he will be tied to after 2025.
“Yes, hope. Of course, nothing is there now, but I had a great conversation with my agent and the club. Let’s see.”
