Sailors designate Rowdy Tellez for distribution

The sailor has appointed first baseman Rowdy Tellez According to the team announcement, allocation is to be made. His position on the roster will go to the outfielder/first baseman Luke Raleyseven weeks after the lack of the tilted strain, he was activated by the list on the injured list.
Tellez, 30, is in his eighth major league season and has 11 home runs at Seattle’s main first baseman. He is expected to see more time on Captain Dan Wilson’s designated hitter early this year, but the damage from the ongoing damage issues between Raley and the infielder Jorge Polanco (So it was downgraded to DH job) regularly push Tellez into the field.
After his season started a disastrous start, Taylorze corrected the ship in mid-April and was a useful but flawed source of power for the center of the Mariners Order. He only reached once in his first 23 set appearances, but has since hit 11 home runs and slipped .484. However, this power has a lower average and underlying OBP. Tellez rarely walks, due to his extreme sprinting approach that can easily fight defense and is measured by Statcast as the slowest player in baseball (eliminating any chance he reaches through infield shooting).
Tellez dates back to April 11, with 162 laps on the plate and reaching .229/.265/.484. He was almost completely shielded from left-handed pitches, with only 14 plates appearing and only two bases (one single, one hit percentage). His shooting percentage is .219/.257/.463 against his right-handed shot this year.
As Raley approaches returns, it seems possible that both Tellez or senior first base will be Donovan Solano You can push the lineup. As both Tellez and Raley hit left-handed, the sailors chose to move on from veterans who could keep the row intact. Solano has achieved better roles over the past month, and despite his role being too limited, his career has helped. He has hit .333/.394/.467 since May 20, but has only hit in 33 sets (26 of which are against leftists).
Solano and Raley are likely to be at the top of the base. This is not an ideal setting, as Raley is more comfortable in the outfield than at first, and Solano is struggling overall this season. At least, the Mariners may explore the trade market for first base’s right-wing spin options in the coming weeks. Dominic Canzone Since being called earlier this month, it has offered slightly better offense than average (.233/.303/.400 in 33 sets), but if he struggles like the previous two MLB seasons, the Mariners may move Raley to the right territory. That will enable them to give potential customers Tyler Locklear Run on first base or explore full-time upgrades to the trade market, both in first base or in the right area.
The sailors will have five days to trade Trez or put him on a waiver. He initially signed a minor league contract with Seattle, but when he got the roster after a great performance in the spring, he was paid 1.5mm. As of this writing, he still owes the $80,000.
Any team claiming Tellez waiver will bear the full amount of the remaining salary. If M finds an interested trading partner, they can include some cash to offset wages in exchange for cash that may still be a nominal prospect return. Since the waiver is a 48-hour process, we will know the results of Tellez’s DFA for up to a week. If he clears the immunity, Thales has enough service time to elect free agents and keep the remaining funds for this year’s salary.
