Seattle Cleken may be an active team for the NHL trade deadline
Rob Simpson of Seattle Hockeyinsider.com was asked in a full-press NHL podcast with Jim Biringer about the future UFA in Seattle Kraken, who can see who is moved out and who may expand with the club.

Jim Biringer: “Yes, I mean the next offseason season is going to go up a lot again. Oleksiak, Mitchell Stephens, and then (Mason Parade), if you’re not doing well in Tolvanen, you might see outside of Tolvanen.
Rob Simpson: “I think Oleksiak is gone, regardless of whether the team struggles or not. He will definitely ship out before the trade deadline.

Interestingly, two other guys, they are in their 30s. Jaden Schwartz, I don’t want to be cynical here, suggests that they are all competitors and people want to win the Stanley Cup, just like they did 10, 20, 30, 30, 40 years ago. But is this a strong feeling? Are there too much comfort now? So I made this point because Jaden Schwartz won the Cup in St Louis. So if he’s happy here and he came up with a nice number, why not stick with it?
Captain Jordan Eberle has not won the Cup yet. I know he likes being in Seattle. His family apparently loves it in Seattle. He would be content to sign the last contract and ride at sunset, knowing in his mind that unless something drama happens, the team won’t win the Stanley Cup in the next three seasons? Like, they pick up a star, the top flight center, and then things will change. But, at this point, it would be interesting.
I think it’s those guys’ crystal ball stuff, but given their age and situation, at least one of them is going to accompany another contract. ”
