Royce Lewis receives MRI from hamstring strain

Twins third baseman Reus Lewis Lewis was forced to withdraw from the game in the left leg muscle of a 10-3 loss to Astros on Friday. The injury occurred in the ninth inning, which only resulted in a single when Lewis hit the line drive at the corner of the left field and Lewis reached the first base on Lim. According to Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune and other beat writers, Lewis will conduct an MRI today to determine the extent of the damage.
During spring training, the situation extended Lewis next to the same left hamstring and postponed the season’s debut until May 5. The missed time obviously had an impact on Lewis’s bat, as he hit only .202/.282/.303 with only 110 plates. However, with 1.056 action on his last 33 pa, Lewis seemed to have been set up before his ham rope, possibly forcing him to the injured list again.
Injuries hindered Lewis’ entire career, limiting the top fifth pick to 546 games (182 in the Grand Slam and 364 in minors) since he was selected as fifth in the 2017 draft. Lewis’s multiple health problems with the most devastating ACL tears were the most devastating, and he also missed the time when the twins were injured, due to the quadrilateral strain, pressure on the adductor muscle and the less lost left hamstring strain encountered later in the 2023 season, Lewis was able to overcome in time to return to gain an advantage in the playoff playoffs.
If MRI doesn’t reveal anything too serious, Minnesota can choose to give Lewis a few days off instead of IL, as the twins won’t play on Monday anyway. If the twins end up sending Lewis to the 10-day injury list on Tuesday, the IL position today will still “start”, although such a decision may also depend on the 10-day injury list if the club is willing to play a man in the big weekend series against the Astros.
Brooks Lee If Lewis ends on IL, it is the most likely candidate to get most of the remaining third time, and the versatile option Willi Castro,,,,, Cody Clemensor Jonah’s Bride It can also be rotated to the hot angle. Several other infielders can be summoned from Triple-A in the 40-man roster, but naturally, there isn’t much replacement for the healthy and productive Lewis that can bring to the twins’ roster.
