Rory McIlroy's Magical Master: A Critical Moment in His Own Word

Rory McIlroy finally won the professional grand slam in one of the most dramatic Masters in tournament history. McIlroy's Sunday diary scorecard showed six birdies and was ranked seventh in the playoffs, but that barely touched the surface of the final day.
Finally, the now five-time main champion beat Justin Rose in the first extra hole, the 18th hole he just bogeyed when he reached out the gap wedge in his hand.
The two double cypress feet of the bat fell straight down, he almost didn't find a fairway all day, and when he seemed to be in control of things at the age of 13, he hit Rae's Creek's worst ball. But after a sensational swing iron shot, he will almost Hawk 15 on the second day of the second, then scored a 3-pointer on the 17th posting the stunning pathway.
McIlroy is just the sixth player to win all four majors – Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary player, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods appeared in front of him – and he now moves to five majors with Brooks Koepka and Seve Ballesteros.

“The best shot I've ever played today was 7 points, but I think the most important thing is the third shot. You know, I started 6, 5. I've got a good serve on 3. It's not an easy shot. The second shot was easy, hitting it on that mountain. The benefits for that mountain. Judge that and do a 3 there, and then do a 3 on Bryson and then in the next hole, and then a hole that's early, and you know a hole that's early, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it, and you know it

“I have a gap whenever I hit a tree this week. Even the second shot of today's 7, I probably shouldn't have accepted it. Harry told me not to do that. I was like, 'No, no, I can do it.'
“I had a 7th, 14th and 17th goal all week and for some reason it all went in that direction. I just struggled to see the T-shirt.
“When I hit it to the left, you know, I know where the pin is – or I know where the pin is. I know the front bunker is not bad. I could chase it into the front bunker, but I saw a gap and I was thinking, I could actually put it on the green and if it was in that little bowl it would be close.
“In fact, it's very similar to the 7 shots I've taken from the right tree yesterday, just opened 9 irons and hit it as much as I can. Even if I didn't stuff that putt, it's cool to be able to knock it down.”

“I thought I'd hit the 13th hole smartly, and in the first two shots at least, Miki kicked off the tee and put it in a good position. I had 82 yards of pins. It went into a small valley and it was on the uphill. Usually when I hit the wedge, I hit the wedge, they fell down and they left a little.
“I gave myself a few yards to the right. I'm not aiming at the creek, but it comes out, you know, a little weak, a little right, that's – you know, do a double chance there, then a bird chance, and then see what Rose is doing, and what Ludwig is doing at the time.”

“The 15 is an advantage. I had 8 iron heads in my hand and Bryson hit it first and hit it in the water. The breeze was refreshed, so I switched back to 7 and hit that picture. That was one of the people I knew it was enough to cover it up, if it didn't, if it wasn't there, that right trap and a not too easy idea, but it was a nice idea, but it was nice and nice.
Playoffs – Method

“After the score, Harry and I were walking to the golf cart to take us back to the 18th tee and he said to me, ‘Okay, good friend, we’ll take it on Monday morning.’ I thought, “Yes, we definitely have it.” “It's a simple reset.
Yes, again, I'm just telling myself all the time, just getting the same swing you do in regulation. I think there are two yards missing in the playoffs, not in the regulations. It's also a bit of a mean lie, so I know I have a perfect third of the gap wedding; it's a nice swing; so swing. The right time. ”

“It's all comforting. There's not much joy in this reaction. It's all a relief. And then, you know, the joy comes soon. I've been here for 17 years, and it's the emotion I've been there for over ten years.
“And then, I just congratulate Justin on a great week. Ironically, how these things happened. We were invited to dinner by some members of the club on Tuesday night, we were the only two players on that table, and we ended up being the playoffs. It was fun. How these things worked.
“But he was a great champion. He showed a lot of grace throughout his career. Justin was a great champion. I remember watching the playoffs in 17 years of the playoffs, which didn't go well either. But he has an amazing record here and I have an amazing record for him because he's already close and hopefully he has more opportunities.”
