There are few undercurrents among the best players on the PGA Tour. They're a lot of like Playing in the United States…and really don't want to go far to hone your craft. But don't blame them so quickly. The United States is the largest TV market, with the history of touring and most of the big sponsors coming from here.
But is American professional golf near its peak? Whether it is based on capabilities, sponsor capabilities or general popularity?
Rory McIlroy will definitely do that. Or at least he did a thorough talk in January 2024 about trying to make a professional game more global. Utilize the market – means fans, sponsors and Media-Insufficient service, but also ready to grow in the golf world.
McIlroy visited part of his visit 16 months ago, explaining that he thinks he thinks a global tour – without a fork, even forked anywhere in the U.S., Europe and Lef golf game, and even spends a lot of time in the U.S., but also heading to Australia, Singapore, Singapore, East Asia, Middle East, South Africa, South Africa, and more.
“If everyone is talking about growth games, especially if these investors are going to get into our games and want to get a return on capital, I think everyone needs to think more globally on a global scale,” McIlroy said.
That's him talking about the conversation, waiting for the investment to become formal. More than a year later, he was on a walk.
McIlroy has added multiple fall events to his schedule over the past 10 days if he rarely competed before. Last week, it was a two-year Australian Open, starting in Real Melbourne in December and lasted until next December at Kingston Heath. These are the greatest golf courses on the planet – Recently and Future Presidents Cup Host – is also one of the major golf events on the annual calendar.
The Australian Open has been performed more than 100 times, dating back to 1904 and has one of the richest history in the world. This is part of the McIlroy campaign – the country opening. He hopes they get the priority of modern players as history suggests. McIlroy's upcoming schedule reflects this more than ever.
McIlroy is not currently in the Memorial Championship next week (though he has 48 hours of change), but will be in the Canadian Open after a week – one of the beloved countries is open on the PGA Tour program. After that, it's the U.S. Open in Oakmont – yes, yes, but also a national Open. After that, McIlroy worked to compete in the Travelers Championship in Connecticut and then took a two-week break before another national Open: The Scots.
Technically, we won't consider the open championship as a national open, although it's definitely his open. Royal Corporush is basically like McIlroy will compete in where he grew up (except last year at the Irish Open in Royal County Don). From the Open, he will win the FedEx Cup playoffs, but he doesn't necessarily want him to play three. In November, he mentioned the idea of not attending the first of three events in Memphis.

McIlroy's National Open will continue in September and has been confirmed at the Irish Open at Club K. From there, he will likely be in the BMW PGA Championship in Wentworth a week later. Not only because it's a flagship event on the DP World Tour, but also because McIlroy has been building a house in a luxurious neighborhood near the Wentworth Club.
There may be a Bethpage Black Scouting/Team-Nobing Trip pouring into his late August or early September plans, but if not, McIlroy will arrive at the Ryder Cup soon. After that, he might put the club aside for a break. But that won't last long, as just this week he will hold a new event at the DP World India Championships in New Delhi in India, which could also be a national open. This will mark the first time the defending champions have played in India. The reception is expected to be grand, like Bryson DeChambeau, a U.S. Open champion who visited in January.
While the news was released this week, the Fresh Master won, which has nothing to do with showing off green jackets in a location that has never been to. McIlroy's decision to add India has been around for a long time. In fact, the promotional video released on Wednesday was shot in Dubai on January 15, the 2025 season began.
What will we tell us? McIlroy's 2025 mainly follows scripts. He promised he would cut down his game schedule on the PGA Tour last fall. He did something in the spring, and the next seven months ahead might involve seven events on the DP World Tour, with only a few events in the United States. The only question now is whether the green jacket will ride.
