Rockies Choose Dugan Darnell – MLB Trade Rumors

Rockies announce they choose right-handed Dugan Darnell And recall the left-handed Carson Palm Quest. They will occupy Tyler Kinley and Jack Bird trade. Colorado’s 40-man lineup counts 39.

Darnell, 28, wakes up for the first time. He is a formerly unplayed free agent with a 3.74 ERA in the Colorado system. Darnell spent the entire season with Triple-A Albuquerque. He had a good time, allowing 3.19 points per 9 to 53 2/3 innings. He beat 28.8% of his opponent batsmen with an average walking rate of 8.7%. Darnell’s three-game winning streak with a 94mph fastball and a mid-80s splitter as his best secondary court.

Colorado first promoted Palm Que in May. The former third-round draft pick started his top 7 MLB appearances but was tagged as an average run of 7.63. General Manager Bill Schmidt told the Denver Post’s Patrick Saunders that Rox permanently moved Palmquist to the bullpen. Southpaw averaged 90 mph in his fastball. His speed may increase in a shorter term, although he is unlikely to be a flame rack. Palmquist missed a lot of bats for minors, but had a career rate of 11.1% in four professional seasons. Rox doesn’t seem to feel that he has the order to stick with the rotation, rather see how his stuff can ease.
