Rockets reportedly get Kevin Durant from the Suns

The Phoenix Suns are trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets, Dillon Brooks, the 10th pick in this year’s draft and five second-round picks. ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported.

As the last wrinkle, the deal can only become official on July 6. This is due to Green’s rookie delay limiting the poison.

Houston has long been associated with Durant’s trade, but is firmly unwilling to give up its best young assets. Amen Thompson was never on the table, but Jabari Smith was still a rocket, a win for the organization.

Only Houston and Miami Heat won two final MVPs in the discussion over the weekend.

For Phoenix, the organization can now move forward from the huge era of Durant. It brought only playoff wins in three years, with the Suns completely missing the playoffs and games this season.

Now Durant will be expected to boost West’s second seed and withdraw its first-round playoffs as a legal title contender. The time of the window boils down to the extended conversation. He could sign a two-year extension worth $122 million.

In 62 games last season, 15 All-Star games averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 blocks. He shot 52.7% from the field, including one-third, and 83.9% on the free throw line.

Durant’s reaction to the trade scene

Interestingly, Durant is actually attending an event on his media network, Conference Room. When fans in attendance saw the deal notification on their phones, he had a Q&A session with media personality Taylor Rooks.

Durant was forced to react in some way and said, “We’ll see, man, we’ll see what’s going on. We get it.” A big smile appeared on his face as he did so.

Houston’s biggest weakness is scoring, and there is almost no better remedy than the scorers in history in this game.
