Bruno Fernandes is determined that Ruben Amorim is the right person to move United forward and hopes to stay at Old Trafford next season to work under his fellow Portuguese.
Fernandes lost 1-0 to Tottenham in the Europa League final last night, putting more pressure on Amorim.
In all matches, he has won only 15 victories in 41 matches, and the club will rank the lowest in the Premier League.

The manager is correct – Fernandez
Still, it seems unlikely that Jim Ratcliffe will get a trigger, and Captain Fernandes believes the former sports CP boss is the one who is expected to overhaul the team that has underperformed the summer.
He said: “It was not my decision, but I do think the manager is appropriate and I don’t think it’s a better person to work and get the job done.
“I know it's hard to understand, it's hard to see this. But I still think he's the right person to lead the club. I do think the club is in a situation where it's easier to get different [head coach] Because the result is not there yet. But as other teammates of mine have said, I say it again, I do think he is the right person.
“He did a lot of good things. We know that the result is to study the manager through the results. Obviously, we see more than the players. We know that everyone will be about the motivation he brings back to the club. To try to bring back the club to fight for the trophy, fight for the big trophy. We all agree that he is the right person.”
Fernandez is keen to stay
Fernandes has been a great player at Manchester United this season, managing to outperform the mediocrity around him. He accepts that the loss will occur in the next few months, but is eager to stay and play a role in reconstruction.
He said: “I've been honest. I kept saying I'd be here until the club said it was time.
“If the club thinks it's time to separate because they want to do some cashing or something, that's it, so it's like that, soccer sometimes. Players say this season is unacceptable.”
