Jack Draper says

Sinner has previously been cleared by any misconduct from an independent group after testing Clostebol, a banned substance, in March 2024.

It received his physical therapist inadvertently contaminated him, who was cutting his hands with an over-the-counter spray containing Clostebol.

Sinner agreed to a three-month injunction with WADA to resolve the case, rather than attending a sports lawyer in the arbitration court.

But the timing of the pause – which means the Sinners didn't miss a Grand Slam and will return to the French Open in May in time – some convenient timing was criticized.

The agreement between the Italian legal team and WADA prompted allegations of preference and led some players to question their belief in cleaning sports.

But Draper said: “In terms of how I feel as a person, I think it’s important for people to know and know this guy and be kind and a good person.

“He deserves no hatred.”

After losing his early days at the Monte Carlo Masters, the world's sixth-placed Draper went to find a practice partner for Clay and Sinner – who had played doubles with him in the past – to be an obvious choice.

“I know Jannik is available, Monte Carlo on clay, so we organized with his team for three to four days to train with him,” Draper said.

“If you’re going to train with anyone, it must be the best in the world, right?

“He obviously had some time off, but he was still playing at an incredible level.

“It's nice to be around him for a few days and get some good arguments.”

The British man's number one added: “I look forward to getting him back to the tour because I think his presence was missed.”
