9:57 pm: Infielder Tyler Callihan According to KPRC 2's Ari Alexander.
9:46 pm: The Red Army will promote Chase the little According to Track and Field, the Cardinals will first start against the Cardinals in tomorrow's doubles match. The previous first-round draft pick will win the championship in Game 2.
Petty, 22, is Minnesota's first-round pick in the 2021 draft. He didn't spend a lot of time in the twins' farm system. Minnesota ships him to a red one-on-one deal the following spring Sonny Gray. Both clubs are good. Gray has been excellent in both seasons at the Twins, and Petty has become one of the better pitching prospects in baseball.
As a high school student, Petty has received a lot of attention for the triple digits of fastballs. His shooting on professional balls is not that great, but his four-slit and submersible pieces are still averaged at 95-96 mph. The prospect evaluator attributes him to his best secondary products. He combined a four-style mix with a cutter and substitution, hoping he can handle left-handed batsman multiple times through the lineup.
Baseball America is third in the offseason’s top 100 and third in Cincinnati’s prospects. He ranks among the top 50 prospects for the sport in Fangraphs, and ESPN's Kiley McDaniel put him in the second half of his top 100. The sport's Keith Law takes him beyond his overall 100, but puts him among the 10 best minor league talents in the Cincinnati system.
Petty spent most of last season in Double-A, earning an average run of 4.39 in 127 innings. He won the season-end promotion to Triple-A Louisville, where he spent his first month of his 25-year campaign. Petty has performed well in five games. He has a strikeout rate of 27% with a 3.52 ERA. His latest outing last Wednesday included six points-free frames with seven strikeouts out.
