ATP Finals: British pair Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool remain No. 1 in the men’s doubles world at the end of the year

Julian Cash says it is “surreal” that he and Lloyd Glasspool have become the first all-British pair to claim the year-end world number one ranking in men’s doubles.
Cash and Glasspool earned the honor at the ATP Finals in Turin over Germany’s Tim Putz and Kevin Kravitz, their 59th victory of the year.
The Wimbledon champions lost their first group match in a late-season match, but defeated Putz and Kravitz 7-6 (11-9) 6-2.
They will face Spain’s Marcel Granollers and Argentina’s Horacio Zeballos in the final match, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals.
Cash and Glasspool received the trophy after winning at Inalpi Arena.
“It’s been a crazy year, no doubt about it,” Cash said.
“We put in a lot of work in the offseason and it took a lot of guys to get to this point.
“We’ve accomplished so much this year and it’s just surreal to be here now.”
Glasspool added: “It’s been an incredible year. We’ve made a huge transformation this year and it wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of both of us.”
