The Rattlesnake has signed a right-handed Trevor Richards According to his transaction tracker on MLB.com, a minor league deal was reached. He has been assigned to Triple ARENO and left-handed Anthony Goseaccording to Southpaw’s tracker. The snakes will sign Gose earlier this week, but it is not clear whether this is the main or minor league deal.

Richards, 32, has had some major league success, but is about a year behind. The Blue Jays handed him over to the twins during last year’s deadline, but Richards lasted only 13 innings at Minnesota before being eliminated. At that time, he left 11 opponents, with batsmen accounting for 18.6%. He also hit two other batsmen and sent out seven field courts.

In 2025, he signed a minor league contract with the Cubs and Royals here and a Grand Slam with the latter club. He threw 19 1/3 minor league innings this year, with an average running rate of 4.19, strikeout rate of 25.6% and a walking rate of 13.6%. During his time in Kansas City’s fast major leagues, he allowed four runs in three innings.

He did well in the major leagues before these struggles. In the 2021-23 season, he threw 201 innings with a 4.61 ERA, a strikeout rate of 31.3% and a 10.9% walking rate. He made a savings during that time and had 25 holdings.

The Arizona bullpen has squandered several times this season. The relief team should be aj puk and Justin Martinez But both are failing at the moment. Martínez recently requires Tommy John’s surgery and will be attending the year. PUK is on IL with flexor muscle strain on IL and has been recently closed due to some new discomfort. In addition to these two, Kendall Graveman and Christian Montes de Oka Also on IL.

Among these injuries, the club’s bullpen numbers are no surprise. Arizona rescuers have a collective 5.39 ERA, which puts them only ahead of Nationals and track and field. If they stay in the playoff game, supplemental reliefists are sure to be a deadline focus. For now, they will seize the opportunity with Richards and Goss, while hoping for the best.
