It’s easy to talk.
I am hourly, day after day, week after week.
It’s also easy to talk about golf.
When I played a few Fridays ago, my match partner didn’t really stop.
His son bought his Titleist Pro V1 for Christmas and he was a little embarrassed, and his son paid a lot for someone who might pull it into the pond. He did it quickly.
“What is the Pro V1, but it’s cheaper?” he asked. “Is this the best ball for a golfer like me?”
Good question.
Let’s take a look at some options.
Wilson Triad
nice shot. I played it recently and loved it. A friend practiced an exercise online in the Garden and thought it was reduced a little, but I liked acting – compared to being often considered distance, but not lacking distance.
It is designed to attract golfers under 80, which means it basically attracts average golfers, so you know they will think of you.
Seed SD-01 Pro One
You can guess what’s going on here – it’s like the Aldi Pro V1.
But seed balls have great value and are very good at their jobs.
Again, I never thought that the courses to test this ball would have a huge feeling or performance.
Titleist Tour Soft
OK – Want a titleist, but not a big choice?
The ball provides a lot of feel from the t-shirt and fairways.
It makes itself a little frustrated around the green green.
Srixon Q-Star Tour
This is the ball my playing partner bought. It’s cheaper than many alternatives, but it has a lot of technology that features in the top performing balls in Srixon.
It’s a very soft ball, though, that might attract the average golfer who surrounds the green rather than shoots from the tee. It is famous for its wind in the wind.
Taylormade Tour Response
Perfect for every yard distance you have from the driver, but may react a little to the feeling.
However, this is valuable and there is a choice of yellow balls.
Callaway ERC Soft
A ball that is always featured in the “best” list as it allows for big hits and a soft touch. It somehow manages to provide limited t-shirt swivel while allowing around the green.
Good combination.
