Portland Trail Blazers’ Deni Avdija dished out a career-high 11 assists for his third career triple-double

The team made a miraculous comeback in the fourth quarter and was taken away in the final seconds. One of Portland’s most consistent players throughout the 2025-26 season is Deni Avdija. This is his second season with the Trail Blazers.
In the 2024 offseason, he was traded to Portland by the Wizards. In return, Washington received Malcolm Broadgang, the No. 14 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft (Booboo Carrington), a 2029 first-round pick and two second-round picks. Brogdon is now retired from the NBA, and Deni Avdija is taking his game to another level. His averages of 25.9 points and 5.2 assists per game set career highs for the 24-year-old.

If Deni Avdija continues to play at this level, he could make his first All-Star appearance. Through 15 games into the 2025-26 season, Avdija’s .376 three-point shooting percentage is the best of his career. Portland has relied on Deni Avdija’s offensive prowess. The Trail Blazers went 6-9 in the first month of the season and ranked ninth in the Western Conference.
