Pirates choose Yohan Ramírez and specify Matt Gorski for allocation

Pirates announced today that they chose a right-handed contract Yohan Ramírez. Infielder Jared Triolo Selected as Triple A Indianapolis as the corresponding active lineup. First Baseman/outfielder Matt Gorski 40 people were opened as a task.

Ramírez, 30, signed a minor league contract with the Buccaneers during the offseason. He recently chose the deal but was quickly re-signed. He has performed well in the season, with an average score of 3.19 in 31 innings. His 29.3% strikeout rate and 52.7% ground ball rate both have strong results, while his 8.6% walk rate is about par.

His previous major league work was available. He threw 169 innings for the past five seasons, 4.58 ERA, 22.8% strikeout rate, 11.3% walking rate and 44.6% ground ball rate.

Bucs has achieved great results with minors this year, and he called him to see if he could advance at the MLB level. He has no choice, but if he can stay outside of the season until the end of the season, he can be retained through arbitration. Pirates will become the seller of the deadline and may move such as David Bednar,,,,, Dennis Santana or Caleb Ferguson Open up opportunities for others in the next few weeks. If Ramirez himself looks good in the next few weeks, he may also gain some trade interest.

Gorski, 27, showed some popularity and speed in his career, but also had a preference for strikeouts. Last year, he hit 23 home runs in Class 3 A, stealing 15 bases, but was also hit at 28.6%.

Despite the yellow flag, Bux chose his contract in late April. He eliminated 16 times in 42 major league appearances, with a ratio of 38.1%. His batting line is .195/.214/.390. In mid-May, he was elected as a minor. Shortly after the selection, he was on the minor league injury list and had not competed since May 23. The injured player cannot completely give up the waiver, so he will trade or release next week.
