Pep Guardiola draws Ted Lasso to compare with bold new look

Pep Guardiola has changed his style – Manchester City fans also love the new “Ted Lasso” energy.
While Manchester City were preparing for a brief preseason, Guardiola was found visiting Barcelona’s Monjaca Clinic, known for cutting-edge recovery treatments. But it’s not the clinic that attracts everyone – it’s Pep’s new shaved face, abandoning his signature beard, just beard.
The new look immediately sparked a comparison with the beloved fictional coach on Apple TV’s “Ted Lasso,” a show that Pep himself once appeared.
A city fan joked: “Guardiola now has a Ted Lasso-inspired mustache, who aims to turn things around after Manchester City’s disastrous disastrousness last season.”
Another quotes the iconic line of Lasso: “I believe” – perfectly captures the hope behind Pep’s bold new style and fresh start.
Guardiola’s cameo on “Ted Lasso” was in the penultimate episode of Season 3.
After the fictional AFC match between Richmond and the City, Guardiola told Sudeikis’s titular coach: “No need to worry about victory or failure. Just help these guys with the best version on the court and on the court. That’s the most important thing.”
Rasso replied: “Coach, I don’t agree.”

When reflecting on his guest attractions, Pep shared: “As a family, my youngest daughter Valentina and my wife love to watch a lot of shows. We are loyal fans and when they gave me a cameo, I thought, why not? It’s great to meet the actors.”
With fresh “notoriousness” and a lot of optimism, Pep is ready to bring the same spirit into the next chapter of Manchester City.
