Pedro said after Chelsea’s doubles: “It’s a dream

Joao Pedro takes his first “dream” for Chelsea after entering the club’s World Cup final.
Pedro completed his £60m relocation from Brighton last week but scored two excellent goals, meeting Fluminense in New Jersey.
The striker started his career with a Brazilian club before moving to Watford and did not celebrate a single goal.

He told Daz: “I think it’s a dream. I think it could have been better. Two goals. Now we need to think about the final. I’m glad to score two goals today.
“I’d love to score my first goal for Chelsea, but I also know that this game is very important to Fluminense. I can say sorry, but I have to be professional. I play for Chelsea. They pay me to score and I’m happy to score today.”
Chelsea will now play Real Madrid or Champions League champion PSG in Sunday’s final, and Joao Pedro hopes to win his first major trophy with the Blues right away.
He said: “This is also my first championship. I think it will be a very important game, it is a very special game. I came a week ago and now I’m going to play the finals.
“I’m so happy. The team has always welcomed me very much and now we need to move forward.”
