Paris Masters: Jannik Sinner beats Alexander Zverev to reach Felix Auger-Aliassime final

Sinner had beaten Zverev in a tight final in Vienna six days earlier, but the German was far from his best in Paris.

Zverev looked tired from the first point as he saved two match points in his quarterfinal win over Daniil Medvedev on Friday.

He lost the first set within 30 minutes and didn’t hold serve until the first game of the second set – and even then, he had to save a break point.

However, Sinner’s performance was very domineering, hitting 8 aces, scoring 90% of the first serve points, and not facing any break points.

He will compete for his fifth title of the year against Auger-Aliassime, who defeated Alexander Bublik 7-6 (7-3) 6-4.

In men’s doubles, British pair Henry Patten and Finnish pair Harry Hliovara defeated French pair Quentin Harris and Pierre Hugues Herbert 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the final.
