Padres Trade Connor Joe to Reds

The Red Army won the outfielder Connor Joe From Padres Andrew Moore Team announcement and cash considerations. Cincinnati has been transferred Tyler Callihan By the 60-day injury list, a seat was created in the 40-man lineup. San Diego's roster number dropped to 38.
San Diego man Joe participated in the dollar, and he signed a 1mm contract with his hometown team during the offseason. Expect him to be half of the right hand of the left field row Jason Heyward. PADRES Tab Speedster Brandon Rockridge Instead, to do this, Joe was selected to start the season with Triple-A El Paso. He was recalled in mid-April and was unstripped in nine bats. He pulled out a walk along the way six strikes.
The monk chose Joe to withdraw last week. He made 16 appearances with El Paso and hit the plates .267/.405/.350 to 74 times. He hasn't hit a home run yet, but stole four bases and walked (13) more than strikeouts (10). He should have a better route to the major league AT bat in Cincinnati. After receiving and Will Bensoneveryone recalled from Triple-A Louisville this week will run as a backup outfielder. Start with the right fielder Jake Fraley Due to sore calf, I missed four consecutive victories.
Cincinnati does welcome right-handed outfielders Austin Hays Returned from the injured list this afternoon. Their main corner outfielder Fraley and Gavin Luxeach hit from the left. Joe's efficiency in the 363 plate is .251/.353/.418 diagonal, with left and right pitches, the Pirates are between 2023-24. Without a volleyball advantage (.230/.314/.382 in 525 PAS), he didn't hit much, but he was an affordable bench/volleyball player.
This is Joe's second minor league option. The Reds can shuttle him back and forth between Cincinnati and Louisville this season, and next, if he has his own 40-man squad for so long. He has been close to four years of service and will be eligible for at least two years of arbitration if he insists on being at the club.
Moore is not a former Mariners MLB pitcher of the same name, he is a 25-year-old reliefist. However, he was selected by Seattle in 2021. The sailors included him in Noelvi Marte and Edwin Arroyo As part of the 2022 deadline agreement Louis Castillo. Moore has been working to reach a double A over the past few seasons. He combines the big strikeout rate with the astronomical walking rate. Although Fanggraphs' Eric Longenhagen just ranked 22nd in the Reds system last week, he is not among the top 30 prospects of Cincinnati in the U.S. baseball world.
Longenhagen wrote that Moore's fastball/slider combo looks like the setter man at his peak, although his speed has dropped early this season. In either case, he needs to significantly increase his control over the low leverage. Last year, Moore went over 17% in the 46 1/3 Double-A innings. Despite the 32.3% strikeout rate, this led to a 4.47 ERA. He surrendered five hits and eight runs in the first 8 2/3 frames of the season, five (four gains) in three hits and eight punches.
As for Callihan, his IL transfer is inevitable. He collided with Truist Park's left wall on Monday, and his left arm broke. He quickly underwent surgery, which would prevent him from doing any baseball activities for six to eight weeks. He may not be able to resume his rookie season as early as August or September.
