Liverpool reportedly prepares for negotiations on potential transfer measures for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.
The French striker was one of Europe’s most impressive young offensive players last season, ending the game with a total of 22 goals and 11 assists in 47 games in all matches.
According to Give Me Sports, Ekitike is now apparently Liverpool’s main target, and Frankfurt is said to have received information about the Reds preparing to negotiate on the deal.
Since Liverpool may sell Darwin Nunez this summer, they are considering signing new registrations ahead of time, and Ekitike seems to be the ideal choice.
Hugo Ekitike transfer will be another statement from Liverpool
If LFC can sign other contracts so far this summer and add Ekitike, it will be the transfer window for the Premier League champions.
So far, Liverpool have signed Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez, while Giorgi Mamardashvili also joined Giorgi Mamardashvili after initially struck a deal last summer.
Ekitike will be another world-class addition as they expect the title to be successful in the last season, which could boost the Arne Slot side.
Can other clubs enter Ekitike for running?
Liverpool may not pursue Ekitike alone, the 23-year-old has also been mentioned as Manchester United’s goal in Fabrizio Romano’s report Attracted by the side.
It is believed that Ekitike will prioritize Champions League football, but it is interesting whether Liverpool can position itself as a favorite.
The report to me sports also shows that Saudi professional league interest may be something to watch, although it is a pity to see top talent like this leave Europe early in his career.
They also noted that Eintracht is confident that it will pack its £86 million asking price for their star players.
