Even if the ending is frustrating – NBA Finals Game 7 Losing to Oklahoma City Thunder Tyrese Haliburton – The Pacers have just released a year’s age. They won the Eastern Conference and also received appreciation for the basketball world in the process of the aesthetic, fluid and selfless play they provide in the process. It was indeed the first time in franchise history that they won everything.
Without Halliburton, a competitive path would be impossible. However, Pacers have both opportunities and increasing team requirements, try to find positives from the situation (e.g., more game time Jarace Walker) and improved his entire health.
The good news is that they can do it. Because of the way they built the team – never at the touch of the draft, not taking part in the three-star model, and not investing all draft capital in the deals of current stars – they are all capable of prices and have enough assets. Rare are highly competitive teams that can still improve in the near future. (Oklahoma City is a famous exception, of course. But pacemakers may not want to hear them at the moment.)
