Orioles release right-handed Matt BowmanAccording to the team’s official trading page. Bowman was designated as a mission earlier this week, marking the fourth time Baltimore has sent the right mission to DFA Limbo this season.

This includes four innings with the Yankees in 2023, appearing with Orioles and three other clubs, and appearing together 24 escorts with other clubs in 2024 and a year. In those 24 2/3 innings, with only 6.20 ERA, Bowman didn’t do much to help him stick to the Orioles’ bullpen.
His 4.10 ERA, 21.8K% and 5.5% walk rate were better in Triple-A Norfolk’s 26 1/3 innings, even though his ERA was swelling with home runs. Bowman might include these solid numbers in another minor league contract elsewhere, and if Bowman can’t find a deal with the new club, it may not rule out the return of the Baltimore organization.
