Orioles choose Jordyn Adams, Terrin Vavra

Orioles announced Friday that they chose outfielder contract Jordyn Adams And infielder Terrin Vavra From Chesapeake. Infielder Luis Vazquez Also recalled from Triple-A Norfolk. They will free up three squads in a series of deadline deals in Baltimore.
Adams, 25, was the Angels’ first-round draft pick in 2018. This is his second review with Baltimore this season, as the minor league agreement was signed in the winter. He appeared in five games in early 2025, but was primarily a pinch/defensive replacement. He only showed up one plate. Adams played 28 games in the Halo matches in 2023-24, hitting .175/.205/.216 with a 36% strikeout rate in 78 sets.
Adams hasn’t performed better among minors this year. He hit .185/.281/.280 in 235 sets – all of which reached three levels except for five boards. He’s unlikely to see normal game time, but he’ll play the backup position Dylan Carlson,,,,, Colton Cowser and Taylor O’Neill Yesterday’s Veterans Transaction Cedric Mullins (To the Metropolitan) and Ramon Laureano (To the priest). Adams is an additional runner and defender who can handle all three outfield games.
Vavra, 28, is a famous merchandise for O fans. His first two seasons in Baltimore Mychal Givens Go to Colorado. Vavra reached .247/.354/.341 in Triple-A this year. He has experienced experience in second base, third base and first base. He is a left-handed bat, walking and base-based, but can rise at least. He can also mix in various places around the infield and use some bats as Baltimore designated hitters – a more open role after the Slugger trade Ryan O’Hearn (Go to Laureano) and the treasure steward Ramon Urias (To the Astronaut).
It is worth noting that Baltimore’s post-login call is the highest prospect before Heston Kjerstad. The 26-year-old finished second in the 2020 draft and was selected for Norfolk earlier this season after some obvious struggles on pitching with the major leagues.
