Opening: Division Series, Rangers, Angels

Here are three things to watch out for as we get into the weekend…

1. The Divisional Series begins in two leagues:

Yesterday, the Tigers overturned the Guardian with some late offense, while the Cubs crossed Padres over the Health Caregivers, but before some of the Ninth Inning dramas left everyone on the edge of the seat, yesterday, the wildcard round limits of the Major League Baseball were limited. Before bedtime, Yankee Rookie Cam Schlittler With the senior New York game, he showed historic performance when he hit 12 batsmen in eight innings.

There are no matches today, but both NLD and ALDS will start tomorrow. The action begins when the Cubs head to Milwaukee Freddy Peralta. Chicago has not officially named the first game starter. Javier Assad Will all rest, otherwise they can turn Colin Reahe threw 1 2/3 innings in Wednesday’s relief, probably to be able to open the de facto bullpen game multiple innings.

The Yankees will compete in the first game of the ALDS in Toronto late Saturday. Neither club announced the starter of the first game. New York is between decisions Louis Gill and Will Warrenaccording to Andy Martino of Sny, currently tends to the former. The Blue Jays will be with Kevin Gausman and Shane Bieber In Games 1 and 2, but have not put their hands in which order.

The Dodgers will be held Saturday at Citizen’s Bank Park, the only of four games that all four starting pitchers have publicly revealed. Shohei Ohtani (2.87 ERA, 33 k%, 4.8 bb% of 47 regular seasons) will face Los Angeles opposite Southpaw Cristopher Sanchez (2.50 ERA, 26.3 K%, 5.5 bb%, 202 innings).

Saturday’s Slate’s final game will take the Tigers to Seattle. If Detroit wants to avoid using ace Tarik Skubal In short, they might need to Keider Montero or Chris Paddack Open the series. Sailors hope Brian Wo Due to a chest injury, I will prepare for nearly three weeks. He held a bullpen meeting yesterday and will be further evaluated today. If it is not Woo, sailors can choose Logan Gilbert,,,,, George Kirby and Louis Castillo Start things at home.

2. Today’s Wanderer Press Conference:

The Rangers announced yesterday that baseball business president Chris Young and general manager Ross Fenstermaker will speak to the media at 10 a.m. this morning to attend the season-ending press conference. The team’s two top baseball OPS executives will certainly question Bruce Bochy’s departure from the organization, followed by his withdrawal, management vacancy created by the 2025 season and the wrong places and where the team is heading. End-season presses like this often provide important insights into what shapes the offseason might take, especially for contenders who miss out on the hopes of the playoffs.

3. Quietness in Anaheim:

It’s another story from Anaheim where the Angels missed the playoffs for the 11th straight season, with no media offerings being held yet. As track and field noted, general manager Perry Minasian had previously said he would speak to the media this week, but those plans seem to have changed. Bloom added that the Minas are still hiring Minas’ team sources – people have been speculating about his job after the club announced a management change – but it is unclear when or if anyone will ask questions about the 2025 season or the upcoming offseason. In the freshly packaged season, press conferences of this nature are the standard practice for all teams in the Major League Baseball, and the fact that the Minas has played an upcoming media conference is strange.

No one comes from the Angels, publicly commenting on whether the Minas will return in the 2026 season. He signed a two-year extension covering the 2025-26 season in August 2024 (there are options for 2027). The Minas had a season-end press conference for each of his first four seasons, including the team’s general manager – including the 2024 postseason that just took place a year ago yesterday.
