Chelsea joins Manchester United and Manchester City to sign Diogo Costa

Chelsea will once again have a busy summer transfer window to strengthen their roster.

Enzo Maresca made some compelling signings in the summer transfer window last year, such as Pedro Neto, Joao Felix, Jadon Sancho and others.

The Blues have had an impressive start to the season, but have failed to reach their potential since the beginning of the year and are currently working to qualify for the Champions League next season in the Premier League top four.

The Premier League giants have reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Conference League this season, but most of the teams in the game are below the level of the London club.

One area Maresca is interested in improving is Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez after making some outstanding mistakes this season in goalkeeper position.

According to TeamTalk, Chelsea has reignited their pursuit of FC Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa, whose goal is to strengthen the team before the upcoming season.

The 25-year-old Portugal international has been on Chelsea's radar, and the club had taken any measures last summer.

Now, thanks to the current goalkeeper choice, the Blues are eager to get Costa’s service.

Costa Rica's unanimous performance earned him honors, including twice being appointed as Primeirira Liga's goalkeeper this season.

Chelsea's new interest comes from competition from other European giants.

United and Manchester City are also linked to Costa, viewing him as a potential long-term solution between positions.

Aware of growing interest in its precious assets, Porto has set the release clause at €75 million (£64.5 million) in Costa Rica.

It may not be easy for Bruce to sign Portugal’s international goalkeeper, but if they can defeat their Premier League rivals to sign him, it would be a big intention for Maresca’s side.

Chelsea also competed with Manchester United to sign Ipswich town attacker Liam Delap.
