Nuggets Vice Chairman Kroenke wants internal growth solutions – Basketball insider

Denver Nuggets Vice Chairman Josh Kroenke believes the team's solution is moving forward internally.

Kroenke said during a conversation with the media at the end of the season’s press conference that the main deal is unlikely.

“I think a lot of our answers are internal right now,” Crohnke said. “From the roster perspective, our position, we're putting guys into contracts. We're going into the mentoring transition, and frankly, it's a huge change. A huge change… The DA's philosophy, how he uses these guys slightly differently, will have a lot of big changes throughout the organization.”

Denver lost to the best team in the Oklahoma City Thunder league in seven games. Kroenke believes the series losses boil down to small details, which cost the team both Game 4 and 5.

The Nuggets trailed 3-2 with a 2-1 lead.

Kroenke agrees that depth seems to be more common than ever to achieve team success, so it will be fun to see how he juggles the juggling that needs to move forward. Denver relied heavily on its start five and took Russell Westbrook away.

He said the team needed to reinvent itself, but not reinvent the wheel.

Without large trade, how can the team improve depth?

There are speculation that the Nuggets may explore Michael Porter's deal based on Crohnke's words, which may not be viewed as an option this summer.

One option mentioned is to get a draft pick for this year's draft.

Currently, the Nuggets have no draft picks in the 2025 NBA draft. He did mention the choice of free agents, but there is limited choice, no upper limit, only available for taxpayers.

The internal growth comes down to how much improvements Julian Strawther, Peyton Watson and Jalen Pickett have been. The health of Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. is key.

Jokic has so many expectations this season that he gave birth with the best stats season.

Kroenke talks about the value of jokic

One of the more interesting aspects of the Crohnke press conference was when he talked about using Jokic as a leverage for free agency negotiations.

Kroenke explains how they told free agents that Jokic could help them earn more forward. Russell Westbrook is someone who looks like he is in the NBA wilderness, but is a great example of a new lease that has three-time MVPs played side by side.

It's exciting about what Adelman can help move forward.

Ultimately, it all depends on how they can get help from Jokic in one year and a few years.
