Novak Djokovic: What’s next for the 24-time Grand Slam champion after exiting Paris Masters

It has been clear throughout the season that Djokovic’s aging body is understandably unable to withstand the rigors of winning the sport’s highest prize as it has in the past.
He still has the technical chops to challenge most ATP Tour events, as evidenced by reaching the semifinals of all four majors this year.
Djokovic failed to complete his Australian Open semi-final match against Alexander Zverev, three days after he suffered a brave leg injury to defeat Alcaraz.
He also reached the semi-finals at Roland Garros and Wimbledon, but lost strength after being unable to beat Sinner.
At last month’s US Open, Djokovic admitted he was “exhausted” during his three-set loss to Alcaraz.
Winning a 25th major title – taking him past Australia’s Margaret Court as the sole record holder – is his top priority in the twilight of his career.
His next key goal is to do so at the early-season Grand Slam in Melbourne, where he is already a record ten-time men’s champion.
Now Djokovic must decide whether extending or shortening the season will help him achieve his 2026 ambitions.
