Now that the season is over, we will start to see some players elect to become minor league free agents. Major league free agents (those who have played in the majors for at least six years) will hit the open market five days after the World Series, but eligible minor leaguers can already begin free agency.
In order to be eligible, these players must all be removed from the team’s 40-man roster during the 2025 season and may not be re-added. These players must also have multiple career titles on their resume, and/or at least three years of major league service time.
We will provide regular updates over the coming weeks on the many other players entering the market in this way. Unless otherwise noted, these free agent decisions are listed on the official MLB.com or MILB.com trade pages for further reference.
