Dan Rosen: “Scott Morrow is a 22-year-old right-shooting D with 16 NHL experiences. It takes a lot stronger to play more physically in the D area. It takes effort to skate. He is the second round pick. The rise time is high. He is the young right. I mean it’s hard to find. They’re hard to find.”
Dan Rosen: “Miller skated well. I think it could still be high. Maybe he’s got his full potential in Carolina. We know the crutches have good LHD. He can fit into the crutches system. But I always feel smarter in New York, he could have been more physically and played more. Maybe the next step.”
Cory Lavalette: “There are certainly concerns about Morrow in the organization. His ability to work hard to defend and recover, puts him in the defense. He has excellent offensive intuition and talent, but needs to overcome his shortcomings.”
Frank Seravalli:”For reference, K’Andre Miller earned an average of $1.1 million per quarter over his lifetime #CANES Jaccob Slavin. The two deals begin next season. Of course, Slavin is older – the deal was signed a year ago on the first day of the expansion. ”
Adam Gretz: “It’s better than I expected, but I didn’t know it would make the Rangers better. Carolina is still the best player in the trade to this day.”
Zachary Martin: “After trade, the Carolina hurricanes have $19.032 million left on the cap. That’s $76.467 billion of $95.5 million to 2025-26. A lot of work is going to be done, but a step towards the right direction of going to next season.”
Hockey Pedia: Rangers are expected to be limited to $1.4 million, with 23-man lineups – 13 forwards, 8 defenses and 2 goalkeepers.
