NHL Rumors: Vancouver Canucks, New Jersey Devils and Dallas Stars

Can Yegor Chinakhov be the option for the Vancouver Canucks or the New Jersey Devils?

Jacob Fraser of the Canberra Army: The Vancouver Canucks have an open spot in their top 9 after trading Dakota Joshua to Toronto Maple Leafs.

If Canucks wishes to fill the location with a deal, Yegor Chinakhov of Columbus Blue Jacket has the option after he requests a deal. The 24-year-old scored 71 points in 175 games and was able to win games in third-tier games. He paid $2.1 million in the last year of his contract. This could cost the Canucks a second round or less.

James Nichols of NJ Hockey: New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald should look at Columbus Blue Jacket’s dissatisfied winger Yegor Chinakhov. There is a lack of trust between Chinakov and the Blue Jacket, and his agent can’t see how he returns next year. For the devil, this will be a low-priced opportunity.

Since trading Tyler Toffoli before the 2024 trade deadline, the Devil needs someone to replace that score. Hopefully it’s Dawson Mercer, but he might be their third-tier center. If he is healthy, he can return to the pace of 25 goals starting in 2023-24.

NHL Rumor: What caused Yegor Chinakhov’s transaction requirements

With $2.1 million next season, he may be the top six left wing of the Devil. Maybe with Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt. Chinakhov’s trade has some risks, but it may only cost the draft pick. In a similar deal, Toronto Maple Leaf sent a conditional third to Utah mammoth Matias Maccelli. Chinakhov may have to spend a second round draft pick.

Does it come down to the extension Jason Robertson or Thomas Harley?

Dan Rosen of NHL.com: (Mail bag) Jason Robertson’s trade speculation continues, but it’s probably Dallas Stars trade the 26-year-old winger is about 50-50. Robertson’s remaining $7.75 million will be the RFA.

He has scored 151 goals in the NHL over the past four seasons. The stars may want to sign Robertson again, but how high are they willing to go? When the expansion started, Tyler Seguin’s $9.85 million hat hit the book, he could have a one-year deal with Jamie Benn’s Jamie Benn and get incentives.

Defensive Thomas Harley also needs a big new extension. Stars may have to decide to expand Harley or Robertson. Strangely, you chose Harley instead of Robertson.

NHL Rumors: Alex Ovechkin and Jack Roslovic

Conducting signature transactions will definitely bring greater rewards to the stars. There is a possibility that someone wants to seize the opportunity and worry about extensions later, but that always won’t work – see Mikko Rantanen and Hurricane Carolina.
