In today’s NHL news and rumors, Jake Oettinger and Pete Deboer spoke to the media at a post-season press conference and had something to say about what happened in Game 5. Finally, due to many questions surrounding Toronto Maple Leaf, one of the questions in the future of Morgan Rielley seems to have been answered.

Peterka drives out of Buffalo?

Many teams will call Saber and look for the right deal to bring Peter Card. He is a top winger, much more than he has already shown.
Morgan Rielly and the future clarity of Maple Leaf

With Mitch Marner, John Tavares, and Matthew Knies all needing new contracts and having big decisions surrounding them, Rielly isn’t at the top of the priority list anyway, but considering the $7.5 million cap hit, the no-move clause, and LeBrun reporting that it isn’t happening, it is very fair to expect Rielly to be in the starting lineup come the start of the 2025-26 season.
