Frederic is a pending UFA. His offensive numbers have dropped this year, and the Brown Bear's willingness to trade him should give the Oiler some thought. His figures should improve next year, though.
The 27-year-old raised his $2.3 million hat this year. If the Oilers Trade is in the offseason Evander Kane, the second line will have a left-wing spot. Vasily Podkolzin may be competing for the position as well. They could consider Frederick’s three-year contract.
