The Vancouver Canucks don’t have many options and lack the highest assets
Donnie & Dhali: Elliotte Friedman needs and looks for the second line in the Vancouver Canucks. There aren’t many options out there, and they really don’t have assets to get because they aren’t cheap.
Rick Dhaliwal: “The market for second-tier centers.
Like, I mean, Patrick Allvin worked very hard to get a second-tier center in August, but had no dance companions. I mean, first of all, they are expensive. It’s not cheap, and the Canucks don’t have a lot of blocking space to get a second-tier center. ”

Friedman: “Well, I think Rick a lot is that we just talked about in the last answer, just one fact, that is, there is only one real seller. I mean, how many teams are there now, you think, if you have a second-place center, look at how hard it is.

You know, I think now, you know, McVish, I don’t think the duck wants to trade him. I think they want to sign them. I don’t think they want to trade him, but let’s just do it for arguments, Rick, if the duck does want to trade McVish, do you think you have anything to get him with his stuff? ”
Dhaliwal: “No”
Friedman: “Well, it’s not even worth discussing.”

Friedman: “You know someone like Jack Roslovic. I think, you know, Toronto is watching him. I think they might be watching him on the first line. I don’t know anyone considers him as the second center.”
Dhaliwal: “Yes.”
Friedman: “So you know, you know, that’s not the answer to my question. Now for me, unless Rutherford and Alvin pull something out of the hat they can’t see, the answer to the second question may be internal, and for a while it’s internal.
I mean, these guys are hard to find and they are expensive. Look, you did the first round pick, you drafted a center. This is the need of the organization, and that’s the best way you’re going to solve the problem, but obviously, it’s been a few years. ”
