Orioles thoroughly David Bañuelos – MLB Trade Rumor

Orioles announced on Monday that they have passed the catcher David Bañuelos Through the waiver, he is assigned directly to Triple-A. He has the right to elect a free agent, but will accept his mission against Norfolk. The 40-man lineup count dropped to 38.
The 28-year-old was added to the Orioles’ major league roster last week Brian Baker to the ray. Bañuelos has already travelled with O’s taxi team and he was selected for the doubles and Mets roster.
Given Bañuelos’ distance on the taxi lineup and the desire to avoid playing a man in the Twins Act, it seems likely that short term terms will occur. He is the third catcher on the roster Jacob stalls and Alex Jacksonalthough Baltimore gave him several plate appearances in a short game. Bañuelos has only three MLB board appearances and is still looking for his first major league hit. He was indeed the first time in his career when he was hit by the court yesterday.
Bañuelos is the perfect glove-first catcher. His career was .197/.276/.362 batsman, and in part of four three-seasons, his career was praised as a plus guard behind a plate from Long Beach State’s age. He started as a Mariners drafter, but has spent most of his career in the twin system after Minnesota received him from Seattle in exchange for an international bonus space. Bañuelos, who became a minor league free agent after the 2023 season, has since signed a pair of minor league agreements with the Orioles, who clearly value their defensive skills on the minors. Now he has taken on several thorough tasks to preserve O’s, so it seems like a mutually agreeable arrangement.
