NHL Rumor: Brady Tkachuk and the Remaining RFA

Brady Tkachuk
Bruce Gallioch, a citizen of Ottawa: Brady Tkachuk’s father Keith, any speculation that Brady is unhappy to play for the Ottawa Senator.
“I won’t believe everything you hear. I think after what happened to Matthew in Calgary, everyone just assumed that this would happen to Brady.
“But Brady loves being there. Brady solidifies his community. They’re a team that’s on the rise. They’re getting a lot of young players. They’re the core players. The fans and the city itself treat him well. He wants to be a big part of that move forward. So I don’t think he’s going anywhere.”
NHL Rumor: Jakub Vrana and Edmonton Oilers
Notes of the Free Agents with Remaining Limits
Sportsnet’s Luke Fox: Check out the remaining RFA and any guesses around.
Luke Hughes – New Jersey Devils – Brock Faber’s eight years, $8.5 million per transaction is comparable. They may want to bridge Luke for about $5.5 million, but his next deal could be big. The Devil’s cap space is about $7 million. Forward Ondrej Palat and defender Dougie Hamilton have been in the rumor mill.
Marco Rossi – Wild, Minnesota – It may require a short-term agreement to complete. Cole Perfetti’s two-year deal, the $6.5 million deal is comparable.
Mason McTavish – Anaheim Ducks – GM Pat Verbeek is not a rush to get the job done. He has patience. Quinton Byfield’s five-year, the $6.25 million AAV deal is comparable to the Kings contract.
Connor Zary – Calgary Flame – GM Craig Conroy said on July 30 that things were slow, but added: “He is a huge priority for us and we will get it done. It’s just a matter of when.”
Luke Evangelista – Nashville Predator – General Manager Barry Trotz: “We just wanted to find a term that fits. I wanted to go longer. Agents hesitate to go longer.”
Ryker Evans – Seattle Kraken – Two-year and three-year bridge deals seem to be where to go. Will Borgen has a previous deal with Kraken for $2.7 million per person in two years, which is probably comparable.
Alexander Holtz – Vegas Golden Knights – Golden Knights don’t have much hat room and it’s likely a short-term deal.
NHL Rumor: Can Lane Hutson make over $10 million in the next deal?
Wyatt Kaiser – Chicago Blackhawks – Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun Age predicts a three-year contract of $2.5 million per quarter.
