NFL collaborates with European football club to produce American football shirts

American and European football may vary greatly in terms of rules, culture and global perspectives – but they have surprising similarities. Both are ball sports, both have a large global follower and have deep connections to fashion.

Now, the two worlds will collide again with the help of Nike.

According to leaked images shared by Sneaker Insider Romeo on X, Nike and National Football League (NFL) are working with several top European football clubs to create special American football-style jerseys.

The leaked designs include shirts from Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Madrid, all with white bases, oversized front and back, V-neck collars with NFL logos, and Club Crests placed on the sleeves.

Steps Headlines Revealing the collaboration is part of the construction of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will open in the United States, Canada and Mexico on June 11, 2026.

The series is expected to drop soon, although it is unclear whether other clubs will be involved.

This is not the first time Nike has crossed these sports streams. Back in 2018, the brand released a similar American football-inspired collection for Chelsea, PSG, Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur’s Tottenham – although these shirts are particularly lacking in official NFL brands.

Interestingly, Tottenham’s stadium is now the de facto home of the NFL London Games, but has not yet appeared in the current round of leak designs.

But with European trophy now proudly adding their cabinet, Spurs fans may not lose any sleep due to fashion collaboration.
