Fabrizio Romano reported that Newcastle United had a new connection with the club when the new striker signed this summer.

Hipies still insisted that Alexander Isak had nowhere to go before the transfer window ended, but that didn’t stop them from pursuing other strikers after Callum Wilson quit.

Wissa has been one of Newcastle’s leading transfer targets in recent months, but earlier this week they saw a £35m bid for the 28-year-old who was rejected by Brentford, with the deal likely to rise to £40m.

The West Londoner’s striker, who holds a £60m price, doesn’t want to lose Bryan Mbeumo cheaply after selling him to Manchester United, but it remains to be seen if Hippies are willing to pay so much for him.

If Wissa is not possible for Newcastle, then the perception of alternatives is crucial, especially since Isak is still unsure of staying at the club. Now, promising updates about another potential signature have fallen.

writing xRomano claims Newcastle has made new efforts this summer to sign Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, calling on Blues over the past few days.

Jackson isn’t necessarily the cruelest offensive player in the Premier League, but he will have a lot to offer Newcastle and, more importantly, unlike Brentford, Chelsea is planning to sell players.

In fact, former Liverpool and England striker Peter Crouch believes he is an underrated player with more “respect” than he currently gives.

“I think he’s really incredible. I looked at the statistics from last year and if you get punished from it, he’s ahead of Mo Salah. Only [Erling] Harad is above him. So many skilled players and have scored a lot of goals – he is there [with them]. He may need more respect. ”

Jackson is Wissa’s young replacement, giving him more time to improve further, and if Isak stays, only one of them needs one, and if the Swedes end up moving to Liverpool later in the window, both are ideal.
