Aston Villa is reportedly increasingly worried about Morgan Rogers’ Arsenal moving, with Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze watching the replacement.

This is according to a report by Steve Kay of Football Transfer, Villa is said to have realized Arsenal’s growing interest in Rogers this summer.

The Gunners can certainly join an offensive midfielder to add some spark to Mikel Arteta’s side, who struggled in the last third of most of last season.

Rogers, still only 22 years old, played both the Central and both wings during the 2024/25 campaign, ending the game with 14 goals and 12 assists in all games.

Eberechi Eze may be a great alternative to Morgan Rogers

Obviously Villa would do a good job of maintaining a talent like Rodgers, but it’s easy to imagine that a big club like Arsenal might be ready to pay a lot of money for him soon.

And if the England international does keep moving forward, Villa is much worse than snapping up Eze from the palace.

The 26-year-old is currently one of Europe’s most underrated offensive midfielders and is certainly too good to play for a mid-table like Palace.

Eberechi Eze will definitely be attracted by this Aston Villa project

Eze’s outstanding performance helped the Eagles win the FA Cup final last season, but he’ll likely be attracted to a program like Villa.

Unai Emery’s work at Villa Park is very impressive, with the club missing only Champions League qualification for the second consecutive season.

Even if the palace is a decent side, it’s easy to imagine that Eze might see Villa as a reinforcement and that he would perfectly play the role Rogers play for them, as shown in the picture above.
