New apps available for golf groups – Golf News

Say goodbye to spreadsheets, WhatsApp chaos and your partner forgets their serving time. Parup Golf is a brand new, free-to-use smartphone app that has been officially launched – bringing commands and excitement that brings bragging rights to golf groups and society everywhere.
Whether it’s your four-goal weekend with your partner or a 40-person social trip, more logistical than the rankings, Parup Golf has a task: making organizing golf day stupid and outrageous.
Parup Golf is now available for free on the App Store and Google Play, designed for golfers who play social tours as seriously as short games. The app brings sleek planning tools, intuitive ratings and more formats than your club’s professional weekend comp sheet.
But it’s not just scores. It’s about kidding, bragging rights, and causing excitement during weekend serve time or before traveling. It’s social golf, gameplay – with enough features to keep your group entertained between rounds and enough polish to impress even the oldest club captain.
The app can play through solo rounds, two or four friends, and any number of golfers who play Stableford or Strokeplay golf in their group or society.
The main features of Parup Golf:
- Plan group activities: Organize events on more than 39,000 golf courses around the world;
- Share and invite members: Send event links seamlessly to ensure that group members can join immediately with just a click;
- Highlight key event details: Share event time, costs, prizes and other key information, as well as tracked attendance and payments;

- On-site rankings: Allow golfers to see real-time scores of individual and team activities during rounds;
- Multi-round series score: Tracking multiple round series rankings for weekend trips or seasonal events;
- Team format and side games: Enable organizers to track the longest drives and closest pin matches and provide players with a fun way to interact on Golf Day;
- Play a friendly round: Able to play leisure tours with friends at any time.
“We made parup golf to solve a very specific problem: making group golf easier and more fun. Organizing golf trips and social days shouldn’t feel like a full-time job without being necessary,” said co-founder Ian Lowther. He added: “The response since the launch of the new app is incredible. We have seen new groups created by new groups and activities in 25 countries. This makes us more convinced that we are building something that the world of golf has been waiting for, a new digital home for social golfers around the world.”

Parup golf users can build a golf network by inviting friends to join the app, which then is an easy process to create friendly rounds in various game formats and review their scoring history. A clever scoring system can do all the heavy lifting – no longer apply on wet cards or debate that’s “gimme”. Stroke, match field or Stableford, – Parup Golf handles it in real time so golfers can focus more on their game.
For groups who like to keep things fairthe app’s optional automatic barrier feature will be adjusted as you use it, helping you stay spicy on weekend trips, midweek knockouts, or mature season rankings. Because nothing can make a golf group as honest as cold, hard stats, especially when building social side games, distributing forfeiture or avoiding the battle of wooden spoons. In the app, organizers can also manually adjust barriers based on the group’s own unique rules.
“parup golf is here to be shaken for golf groups and society. We are building some challenges that challenge the old-school golf experience to make it more inclusive, interactive and fun,” said Andy Dymock, a peer co-founder. “And we’re just getting started,” he added. We have already made huge plans to continue to attract group golf experiences with more side effects, social features and fun ways to compete. ”
