Angel re-signs Connor Brogdon as minor league contract

Angel resigns relief Connor Brogdon According to the MLB.com transaction log, in minor league transactions. Brogdon, who was elected as a free agent last week after being designated as a mission, reported to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Los Angeles initially signed Brogdon to a minor league contract during the offseason. When the Angel called him in early May, his era was close to 13.00. Over the next three months, Brogdon took over the MLB bullpen. He allowed 5.30 runs per 9 innings in 37 1/3 innings. His strikeout, walking and home run rates are the wrong side on the league average, respectively.

Brogdon looked like a potential leverage piece for the Phillies early in his career. Between 2021-22, he combined a 3.36 ERA with a solid strikeout and walking figure in over 100 innings. His numbers have quickly collapsed over the past few years (although he did collect a World Series ring last year after he threw an inning for the Dodgers in April). Brogdon still has mid-90s fastballs, and Angels are clearly still as deep as he does. He will provide the depth of the non-denjeans throughout the extension.
