Billie Jean King Cup 2025: Britain missed in the BJK Cup final after losing to the US 2-0

Captain Anne Keothavong said her British side “throwed everything but after losing 2-0 to the United States in the semifinals of Billy Gene Gold Cup, everything was extended.

Katie Boulter needs to beat the world’s seventh place Jessica Pegula after losing to Emma Navarro’s first singles match to Emma Navarro’s defeat of Sonay Kartal in Emma Navarro.

However, after Boulter came out with the first set, Pegula won the game 3-6 6-4 6-2 in Shenzhen and won her 31st appearance in the final of Lindsay Davenport’s team.

Boulter and Kartal – lost 3-6 6-4 6-3 to Navarro, the player ranked above 60 in her game – lost the chance in two tense games.

Both players maintained multiple breakout points in the second and third sets – Boulter won only two-sevenths – while losing the rest of the mission game to restore the stress.

“It’s really tough today,” Keothavong said. “The players should still look up. I think we’re really bringing it to Team USA.

“You can see how much it means to the players. They throw everything but fall short.

“Not this time.”

The United States is the most successful team in game history, with 18 titles and will face defending champion Italy in Sunday’s final.

Britain has lost three times in the semi-finals over the past four years, and their last most recent appearance in 1981.

“We went a long way,” Kiosavin added. “In recent years, we have shown consistency and challenged the best.

“Our ambition is to lift the trophy one day. To lift the trophy, you have to beat some of the best.”
