Indiana defenders are mostly good. Just the “most good” is a pretty big step from “Ausar Thompson” and then “Derrick White and Jrue Holiday” so Jalen Brunson doesn't look surprised so far. – 8:18 pm

Rich Paul appears on the “Rich Eisen Show” and responds to Falk’s claim. “I just thought it was very unfair, and for a variety of reasons there was something unfair under David Falk,” Paul said Thursday. “We can't have a history of revisionism, we all want to determine who is the goat, who is the best, etc. But I just think that under David is a bit of that.” – New York Post / May 23, 2025
“I'm always asked this question. Physically he can play for a few more years. I think that's where you are psychologically. Be with all of these people. I think we have a lot of success personally for individuals. As a person, I think when you think about it, you have to make a lot of decisions. Always get the best chance for everyone, and so does the team with the team history.” -Via Lakers Nation / May 23, 2025
Kerr explained in a recent interview on “TK Show” why his bond with Curry is very similar to long-time San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and highly decorated big man Tim Duncan. “Very similar, very similar,” Kerr told Tim Kawakami, whose relationship with Curry is very similar to that of Popovich and Duncan. “I think pop and I are very similar in many ways, and I think Stephen and Tim are very similar. What I want to say is if you have to put down the names of every coach who coaches in the NBA, if you ask them to ask them to name a few people they want to name them and they want to pair them with them, Steph and Tim are probably the first two.
“And I think this is what I saw with pop and Timmy when I played four seasons at the Spurs. It's very similar, it's collaborative, it's sincere love and friendship. A lot of humor has a high fun and is hard to find. However, Stephen and Tim are very similar in both of these aspects. They are probably the most collaborative superstars. -VIA NBC Sports Bay Area/May 22, 2025
Steve Kerr: This is a tricky thing because Jonathan Kuminga is obviously gifted and wants to play a bigger role and want to play more roles. For me, I was asked to win. Now, he's not the one I can say I'm going to play for 38 minutes in the lineup we have – Steph, Jimmy and Draymond – and put the puzzle together this way and expect to win. -pass San Francisco Standard / May 22, 2025
Pascal Siakam added: “He's a tough cover and he's been doing it for a long time. Every series, he just finds a way to get the ball to the bucket.” -Via Sports Illustrated / May 23, 2025
As Jalen Brunson advanced to the NBA star, Indiana Pacers coach Rick Carlisle is often asked if he saw it coming. Carlisle coached Brunson for three seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, overseeing his rise, from his useful second-round pick in the first season to sixth in third place. Over the past three seasons, Brunson has become a perennial MVP candidate. “I wasn’t surprised,” Carlisle said. “Know his level of determination, how many winners he has and how he really embraces skeptics. He loves proving people wrong.” -Via Sports Illustrated / May 23, 2025
Carlisle's new show was a success, depending on his ability to stop Brunson. Or at least slow him down. Brunson lost in Indiana's 138-135 overtime, which was Brunson's game. He scored a playoff high of 43 points. He shot 60% from the floor. He took 12 of 14 players from the free throw line. There were some atypical mistakes throughout the game, but Brunson was excellent for most of the game. “It's hard to get him to work because he found the angle,” Carlisle said. “He got the position, did it. He usually shoots, and if most players take them, you'd say it's a bad shot. But he's a barrel guy. He just gets the ball into the basket.” -Via Sports Illustrated / May 23, 2025
