NBA Draft Lottery: Mavericks despite 1.8% chance – Basketball insiders win first choice

The Dallas Mavericks have only 1.8% chance to win the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery.
Cooper Flagg is the highest choice of consensus and should be a major boost for those Mavericks fans who stand out from the Luka Doncic trade.
The Mavericks entered the lottery with the best odds of 11, which made their 10 jump high on any team in lottery history. The San Antonio Spurs also moved from the eighth best odds to the second pick.
The Spurs are already equipped with Victor Wembanyama, De'aaron Fox and Stephon Castle's Rookie of the Year, and the Spurs are facing some interesting decisions over the next month or so. Does it look like it will use a second overall draft pick to attract Giannis antetokounmpo to San Antonio? Or are they happy to add another young, talented work to the core.
Despite all their tank work, the Utah Jazz and the Washington Wizards were empty. The Jazz finished fifth pick and the Wizards would be sixth. The New Orleans Pelicans ranked fourth in odds, but will now choose seventh.
These are the top odds of winning the lottery:
14%: Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards, Charlotte Hornets
12.5%: New Orleans Pelicans
10.5%: Philadelphia 76ers (Thunder conveyed in the top four Oklahoma City)
9%: Brooklyn Basketball
7.5%: Toronto Raptors
6.0%: San Antonio Spurs
3.8%: Phoenix Suns (choose to Houston Rockets)
3.7%: Portland Trail Blazers
1.8%: Dallas Mavericks
1.7%: Chicago Bulls
0.8%: Kings of Sacramento (Pick the Eagles if not the top 12)
0.7%: Atlanta Hawks (choose San Antonio Spurs' convex)
Early Cooper Flagg is suitable for the Mavericks
Flag will enter the starting lineup that includes Spencer Dinwiddie (at least for now), Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis and Daniel Gafford or Dereck Lively II.
Kyrie Irving suffered a breakdown in the ACL and is expected to miss at least most of next season. It would be very impressive if Flagg was enough to help you with the playoff hunt in his absence.
In any case, Dallas received a much-needed injection of life. Many people believe that the long-term future was sacrificed in the Doncici trade, but now everything is changing.
With Flagg, the team is ready to win now and in the future.
